Plastic carpet, vinyl flooring, and shower walls
Daily maintenance.
For daily cleaning, normally only dry cleaning methods, dry mopping or vacuuming are needed. For more thorough cleaning, damp wipe the floor with a well wrung out microfiber mop. Cleaning chemicals: Neutral detergent PH 7. In wet areas, an acidic detergent with PH 3-5 is occasionally required to dissolve e.g. lime/soap coatings. To avoid soap and lime deposits and hair dye, use a rubber scraper on walls and floors after showering. NOTE! The rubber of the scraper can stain, so never leave it on the floor
Periodic maintenance.
Combination machine with medium hard brush. Adjust the frequency according to wear and soiling. Restoration of heavily soiled floors: Basic detergent with PH 10-11 mixed according to the manufacturer's recommendation. In case of heavy wear, dry polishing with a low-speed machine (higher rotary pressure) and a 3M red rotary or "green twister" is recommended. Floors should not be polished or waxed. Stain removal Action when stains are fresh. Use white/red nylon cloth in combination with allrent, Tröd or washing naphtha. Wipe with clean water.
General advice - Plastic floors are damaged by solvents - In case of oil spillage, wipe up immediately as the surface may become discoloured. - Black rubber wheels and rubber feet can discolour floors. - Floor protectors should be provided on all chair legs. - Be aware that bright colours increase cleaning effort.
Stains:
Remember!
Daily maintenance:
Dry and/or damp mopping. Adjust cleaning frequency according to traffic and soiling. On polished floors, an all-purpose clean is usually used. Surfaces that look dry should be polished. A surface without polish will absorb dirt into the carpet.
Periodic maintenance:
Dirty surfaces can be scrubbed with a scrubbing machine and a red roundel. If necessary, a new primer is applied. Spray polishing with spraypolish. This method also removes friction marks and gives an even surface gloss.
Daily care
Routine/daily cleaning is a combination of vacuuming and stain removal, carried out as often as necessary.
Stain removal
Stain removal should also be done regularly to maintain a good appearance
The majority of all water-based stains can be removed with a clean white cloth and lukewarm water. If the stain has dried, treat it with a suitable carpet cleaner
Avoid excessive use of water. Too much moisture should first be absorbed by rubbing. Dried and old stains should first be treated with a blunt object (e.g. a spoon), then vacuum up the dirt. Oil-based stains should be treated with a suitable carpet cleaner.
Coffee, tea, soft drinks and wine first wipe up as much liquid as possible with a white cotton cloth (or absorbent paper) and lukewarm water. Avoid using excessive amounts of water and rubbing the stain.
Periodic maintenance
Minst 1 gång per år bör matta djuprengöras med antingen torrkem rengöring eller genom Ångtvättning. Detta bör göras av någon golvtvättfirma.tex:

Normal cleaning
Heavily soiled floors
Use stronger solutions of alkaline detergents than for normal cleaning. Choose preparations according to the type of contamination and leave them on the floor for 5-30 minutes (do not allow to dry in).
Animal or vegetable fat is removed with emulsifying, fat-dissolving and strongly alkaline agents. Oils are removed with white spirit.
If cleaning is done with alkaline detergent or deep cleaning with a machine, the dust binding must be redone.
Supply and exhaust valves are cleaned once a year.
